DE GEA REFUTES CRITICISM
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea has said that he has done more good than bad things at Manchester United, and still cannot understand the reason why so many people are criticising him.
David De Gea has been criticised for his poor performances for Manchester United in a number of matches. He has been making a number of errors in many matches, but the Spaniard has admitted that he expects major improvements to come in the future. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is especially not known for having patience with goalkeepers who have been erratic, but David De Gea is probably an exception.
The Spaniard arrived from Atletico Madrid in the summer for around £ 18 million, and the 21-year-old says that people can expect more from him in the future. David De Gea was signed in order to replace the retiring Edwin van Der Sar, but the Spaniard has admitted that he still has a long way to go before he can be at the level of Edwin van Der Sar. Of late, though, David De Gea’s performances have been much better. The goalkeeper attributes this due to the regular game time he has been getting in the first-team following the injury to Andres Lindegaard.
